In summary, the activity of this Laboratory Group so far is described indicatively and not restrictively and in the context of research, education – training and the provision of services from which benefits are expected with the aim of further development of the Laboratory, activities of the laboratory are the Studies – Inspections – Expertise – Certifications and more in detail, as follows:
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on conventional power supply issues in electronic transmission and power grid applications
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on energy saving issues achieved through electronic structures and power electronics
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on safety issues for human health, defined through relevant standards for each application of means of transport and electricity networks
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on quality issues of electricity provided by the Company (utility) and the customer
- Autopsies, tests and findings / certification of the operating characteristics of individual electrical and electronic components as well as the overall performance of RES systems
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on issues of licensing and compliance with standards in grounding and lightning protection of RES installations
- Autopsies, inspections and findings on issues of electricity supply through RES and Cumulative Representation Bodies and related automation
- Control of Quality Assurance Procedures, total quality, quality of equipment / premises / services in RES applications and in matters of compliance with the standards related to the Quality of Power Provided.
- Design of integrated systems regarding both hardware and software as well as firmware for applications on smart grids, use of IoT technologies for the implementation Internet of Energy (IoE)
- Optimization of production from Renewable energy sources, application of Wireless Sensor Networks (IoT) for the measurement and optimization of the energy efficiency of buildings
- Design, study, costing and implementation of conversion of conventional ships to electric propulsion for their integration into itineraries of intelligent, sustainable and green ports and taking measurements through Wireless Sensor Networks (IoT) to optimize their energy efficiency and adequacy.
- Design, study, costing and implementation of RES systems. and storage, to supply electricity to power buildings, intelligent sustainable and green ports by taking measurements via Wireless Sensor Networks (IoT) to optimize their energy management.
